Goalkeeper Brendan Clarke is expected to make his first start of the 2008 season as Premier Division leaders St Patrick’s Athletic host Galway United at Richmond Park.
Saints boast a 100 per cent record after victories over Sligo Rovers and Bohemians over the first two weekends.
But manager Johnny McDonnell is without goalkeeper Barry Ryan and versatile wide man Des Byrne following their red cards against Bohs last time out.
Clarke, who impressed when deputizing for Ryan last season, is expected to get the nod between the posts once more, while Ryan Guy and Alan Kirby are in line to come into the midfield against Galway.
The Tribesmen have taken just one point from their two games to date, following up an opening night home defeat to Bohemians with a 1-1 draw at Cobh Ramblers last season.
Tony Cousins’s side showed an aptitude for stout away performances last season, never more so than in their 2-1 victory over the Saints in June, when Derek Glynn scored both Galway goals.
However, Saints proved too strong in both encounters at Terryland Park in 2007, and the smart money should be on the Inchicore men coming out on top once more this time.
This one is very tricky ,but Newcastle must not lose this ,because after that will be nervous time for the team, The blues needs from the points to , but they play well when they are outsiders, when they are favorite they have a problems!
